DESC: Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source purchase order utilizing Simplified Acquisition procedures with B. Downer Enterprises, 4 Sunny Brook Lane, Fairport, New York 14450 for services needed to maintain the turntable at the Hoover Dam Visitor Center Theaters located at the Bureau of Reclamation, Hoover Dam, Boulder City, Nevada. The contractor will perform preventative maintenance to extend the service life of the theaters turntable and ensure the remainder of the warranty remains enforceable. The contractor will travel to the Hoover Dam Visitor Center a minimum of once every three months over a twelve month period for a total of four on-site visits. The contractor through established maintenance procedures shall provide the necessary labor, materials, tools, and supervision needed to perform maintenance work on the Hoover Dam Visitor center theaters turntable's electro-mechanical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic systems on a quarterly basis. The maintenance work will include: Inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and verification of various components and parts of the turntable system such as the turntable drive wheels, pillow blocks, pneumatic brake assemblies, air compressor, air stroke actuator, etc. A full written report describing the condition of the turntable system during inspection and detailing all maintenance activities will be required at the conclusion of each maintenance visit. B. Downer Enterprises, under retainer by the bonding company of the project, completed the installation of the Visitor Center theaters turntable, and is to take care of any warranty issues for the term of the five-year warranty. The background and knowledge of B. Downer Enterprises enables B. Downer Enterprises to provide the necessary, thorough assessment of this system and effect equipment repairs and replacements quickly and efficiently. No request for Quotation will be issued. Letters and telephone requests for a copy of a Request for Quotation will not be accepted. However, vendors with this capability may submit an offer with pricing to be considered by the Government no later than 8 calendar days from the published date of this announcement.
