to acquire on a sole source basis from Technomad, Inc., the following
speakers and mounting hardware: 1) Technomad Cairo 15/C, 17 ea 2)
Technomad Paris 616T, 58 ea 3) APC-MM022 Mounts, 68 sets The speakers
must be tolerant of continuous outdoor use, impervious to water, sand,
chemicals, insects, salt, temperature, mold, mildew, UV radiation,
condensation, and acids. These extremes are realistically expected to
be resulting from military vehicles and aircraft fumes, obscurant,
flying debris and military weapons' propellants. The speakers must be
enclosed in a gray Mil-Spec 810E and be ATA-III compliant cabinet with
a 10 year warranty. The audio performance demands submitted by the
customer are to provide background audio at a SPL of +93db from a
distance of 50 feet and at least an anticipated SPL of +83db from a
distance of 100 feet. The purpose is to provide a realistic combat
aural environment for the facility. Additional performance requirements
are Frequency Response: 65 hz -- 17.5 khz. Power Handling: 200w. Rated
Impendance shall be 6 ohms. High frequency dispersion shall be 90
degrees horizontal x 90 degrees vertical. POC for inquiries generated

Government will request an oral quotation. The anticipated award date
is on or about 17 Sep 99. All responsible sources ay submit a quotation
which, if timely received, shall be considered by the Agency. All
