and watering of new construction areas of the West Bay Canal. Total
area to be covered is 10 acres and is located along both sides of the
West Bay Section of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway in Bay and Walton
Counties, Florida. Access to the south side is off Florida Highway 98
two miles west of Phillips Inlet and to the north side five miles north
of West Bay off Florida Highway 79. A. Station 666, 1.5 acres, south
side of canal B. Station 678, 2.5 acres, south side of canal C. Station
745, 2.0 acres, south side of canal D. Station 613, 2.0 acres, north
side of canal E. Station 713, 2.0 acres, north side of canal Lime
(Dolomite) shall be evenly spread by means of a spreader truck equipped
with double spinner blades, chain drag, and calibrated in pounds per
acre. Station A,C,D and E apply at the rate of one (1) ton per acre --
Station B apply at the rate of two tons per acre. Fertilizer shall be
evenly applied on all station at the following rate: 450 pounds of
10-5-10 fertilizer with micronutrients per acre. Seed shall be evenly
applied on all Stations at the following rates: Pensacola Bahia -- 100
pounds per acre, Rye Grass -- 30 pounds per acre. The entire 10 acres
shall be covered with a non-biodegrable errosion protective blanket
(similar or equal to American Excelsiors Curlex Three HV) designed to
allow growth of vegetation through the blanket matting. Blanket shall
be covered with heavy duty plastic mesh on both side and capable of
withstanding maximum water velocities of 10 feet per second. Blanket
shall be stapled down using the manufacturers recommended spacing and
overlapped at roll ends in such a manner to prevent under cutting.
Watering/irrigation (optional). If conditions warrant portable
irigation or water truck equipped with a water cannon shall be used to
apply one-half inch of water every other day over the entire 10 acres
for the first three weeks following planting. This will keep seed and
blanket moist until seed germination and shall continue one week after
germination. After the first three weeks water shall be applied over
the entire 10 acres at the rate of one inch per week for three
continous weeks. Labor rates have been requested and will be
incorporated in the award. This is only a partial scope of work. You
must request a complete quotation package. FOB Destination: Wet Bay
Canal, Flordia. Delivery: 30 days after Award. This is considered a
commerical item and FAR Clauses 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52.212-3I,
52.212.4, 52.212-5, 52.232-19, 252.212-7000, 252.212-7001, 52.228-5 and
252.204-7004 apply. Standard Industry Code (SIC) is 0782 and size
