August 11, 1999 submission: Television Monitors, not data monitors, are
required. Topology of the LAN is ETHERNET. The product submitted should
be WINDOWS based. At Dulles Airport the entire floor is accessible from
the basement which runs under the entire Customs facility. All cabling
is in this easily accessible area. Cabling should run from the LAN
room to each of six baggage carousels. The approximate distance from
the LAN room to each carousel is as follows: Carousel 1 -- 45 feet
Carousel 2 -- 80 feet Carousel 3 -- 75 feet Carousel 4 -- 110 feet
Carousel 5 -- 105 feet Carousel 6 -- 140 feet The contractor will
supply cabling and conduit and other required supplies and services for
installation. The contractor successful contractor will submit the
broadcast software not later than seven calendar days after award.
Testing will be no longer than seven calendar days. No later than
fifteen days after award, the installation processmust begin and must
be completed within six weeks during the hours specified in the
solicitation. It is acceptable to meet the "two simultaneous, but
different subject" requirement by having each subject transmitted to a
separate carousel. Finally, sound must be transmitted through the LAN;
