For warranty purposes, respondents to this notice must be able to provide servers that are certified by TALX Corporation to ensure compatibility with TALX application and foundation software (TalxWare). The servers are of the following configuration: Intel Saber/Cabot -- 8-Way SMP Chassis (1ea), Mezzanine Board (1ea), Memory Carrier (1ea), Cache Coherency Board (2ea), Power Supply (2ea), Country Kit (1ea), Side Rails (1ea), Front Bezel (1ea), Expansion Memory Carrier (2ea), 2 GB (256 MB EDO Dimm) (8ea), PIII Xeon -- 500 MHz / 1 MB Cache (4ea), CD ROM (1ea), 100 MB Nic (2ea), 18 GB 1" 10K RPM LVDS HD (3ea), Raid Controller (1ea), SCSI Cable (1ea), ATX Cable Set (1ea), IBM Keyboard (1ea), MS Mouse (1ea), Tape Drive (1ea), SCSI Cable Adapter (1ea), Viewsonic 15" Optiquest Monitor (1ea). These servers are needed to move the HR LINK$ Project (VA's new HR/Payroll System) from the Pilot Phase to the Production Phase. To the best knowledge of the VA, TALX Corporation is the sole provider that can offer the proper configuration of this equipment with the requisite certifications. The determination to compete this requirement, based on the responses received, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
