NCBC Gulfport intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Community Playthings/Rifton Equipment to provide "Roomscapes" components to create activity spaces within larger spaces for the Child Development Center, Naval Submarine Base, New Groton, CT. The "Roomscapes" product was chosen due to it's modularity and ability to create various activity centers and quiet areas within the larger Infant, Pre-Toddler, and Toddler rooms. It is a flexible, interchangeable system that will permit activity areas to shrink or expand with the changing needs of the classrooms. This award will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. No solicitation is available. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by identifying themselves and giving written notification to the Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. Information received as a result of this synopsis will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
