The Alpena Combat Readiness Taining Center is soliciting interested bidders for the purchase and installation of an Emergency Aircraft Control Tower Egress System. The range of this project is between 0 -- 25,000 dollar. The standard industrial classification for this project is: 9229 and is 100% set-aside for small business with preference for HUBZone businesses. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation subpart 12.6 as suplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Nbr DAHA2099T9151 is issued under request for quotation proceedures. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition circular 97-12. The following is a list of requirements: Line item 1: Air Traffic Control Tower Emergency Egress System. Egress system is to be a self contained, deployable, manual, exterior evacuation system. The system needs to be deployed outside the tower structure in case of a stair well fire. The egress system must reach from the tower catwalk to the ground which is 65 ft. When the system is deployed the fire station must be alerted. Up to six (6) people need to enter the evacuation shoot at one time and evacuate the tower cab within five (5) minutes. The system must be of a non-flamable material. Delivery and instalation schedule at the Alpena CRTC will be available to the award winner. Baker Life Chute Portable Model or equal.
