The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) plans to procure, through Simplified Acquisition procedures, a sole source procurement from Edwards Systems Technology, Walpole, MA, to perform various repairs and alterations to a large addressable fire alarm system located in Buildings 1, 4 and 5 of the Volpe Center. Small Business firms classified under SIC code 7382 that are interested in proposing on this requirement must respond in writing no later than 15 days from the date of this publication that they have experience working with the EST Model 8500 Computer system installed at the Volpe Center. Small Business firms will be required to submit a maximum of 3 pages, but, not less than 2 pages of documentation in support of the above for evaluation prior to receiving a solicitation. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
