pleased to announce the Partnership for Peace (PfP) Geospatial
Symposium and Technology Exposition from 26-27 October 1999 at the
Marriott Hotel in Prague, Czech Republic. The primary goal of this
symposium is to foster an exchange of technical in formation and
support cooperation among the PfP Mapping Agencies. The Symposium will
provide an opportunity for the PfP countries to present their
accomplishments and to discuss technology-related issues. To supplement
the information given by speakers, there will be an extensive
technology expo running concurrently with the conference designed to
give attendees imaging tools and tutorials with hands-on experience.
All technologies are invited to exhibit, however, targeted technologies
include Systems integration, Optical Imaging, Plotters, Desktop
Publishing, Mapping Applications, Digital Production, Network Security,
Document Imaging, Training, Commercial Imagery, Collaboration, LAN/WAN,
GPS Survey, GIS, Laptops/Notebooks, Engineering Workstations,
Geospatial Database Structures, Multi- Media and CD-ROM/Optical
Imaging. The Symposium and Technology Expo promises to afford attendees
an opportunity to interact with other mapping agencies and to learn
about the latest in products and services in this emerging market. For
