announcement constitutes the only request for quotation. Quotes are
requested and a written quotation will not be issued. This acquisition
is 100% set-aside for small businesses and the applicable Standard
Industrial Cose (SIC)is 1795. PROVIDE ALL LABOR, PLANT, MATERIAL,
EQUIPMENT AND SUPERVISION TO PERFORM ALL OPERATIONS TO DEMOLISH
FOLLOWING: (1)Demolish complete the AAFES Gas Station and Gas Pump
Canopy located on Pope AFB. (2)All concrete, metal, glass, wood and any
other materials not naturally occurring within fifteen feet (15') of
the existing footprint of the AAFES Gas Station and the Gas Pump Canopy
shall be disassembled and hauled off of base at the contractor's
expense. The Fort Bragg landfill may be used after filling out all
appropriate paperwork and obtaining a permit from the Fort Bragg
Environmental Office, phone# 910-396-3372. (3)The AAFES Gas Station
contains an underground heating oil tank. The underground heating oil
tank shall be removed and disposed of in accordance with specification
Section 02071 which will be attached to the Statement of Work. (4)Once
construction materials are demolished and removed from Pope AFB, the
contractor shall sawcut the existing asphalt and place new asphalt so
that it is at the same elevation as the surrounding area. (5)The
as-built drawings for the AAFES Gas Station and Gas Pump Canopy wil be
attached to the Statement of Work for reference. The building to be
demolished is included in, but is not limited to, these as-built
drawings. (6)Contractor shall coordinate with the contracting officer
to ensure that all utility lines are marked before any digging and/or
demolition is accomplished. There may be utility lines within the
construction site that shall not be disturbed. The contractor shall
coordinate with the Contracting Officer to ensure that any utility
lines in use are not damaged or disturbed during any portion of this
contract. (7)Explosives shall not be used on Pope AFB as part of this
project. (8)A copy of the Statement of Work(SOW)and the layout map can
be requested by by faxing your written request to ATTN: Marie Becton
at 910-394-6289. A site visit can be requested by calling Karl J.
Miller at 910-394-4075. All responsible sources may submit an offer,
which if received in a timely manner will be considered by this agency.
