Grahovac, pg2@inel.gov. A -- Passive soil vapor extraction for
environmental remediation. This is a potential technology development
and licensing opportunity with Lockheed Martin Idaho Technologies
Company (LMITCO), the prime management and operating contractor for the
Department of Energy at the Idaho National Engineering and
Environmental Laboratory (INEEL). LMITCO has developed, demonstrated,
and patented a system that uses naturally occurring atmospheric
pressure changes to drive contaminated soil vapor extraction with zero
power requirements. An independent market assessment has shown a
demand for such technology in the environmental remediation industry.
The U. S. Patent Number is 5,697,437 (Issued December 16, 1997). LMITCO
is seeking a written indication of interest from companies interested
in licensing and commercializing this technology. We seek to grant
nonexclusive licenses to multiple companies. Terms for companies we
deem qualified include a $2,000 up-front licensing fee, a running
royalty of 5% of sales, and a minimum annual royalty payment of $1,000.
We are planning a technology transfer meeting to brief all interested
parties. Persons responding to this opportunity as suggested below
should indicate whether they are interested in attending such a
meeting. This is not an opportunity to provide goods or services to
LMITCO or the Department of Energy. This Request for Interest (RFI)
will close to response 60 days after publication. Interested parties
should send e-mail to pg2@inel.gov (Paul Grahovac, Account Executive,
Technology Transfer Office, LMITCO). If you do not have e-mail access,
send regular mail to Paul Grahovac, Account Executive, Technology
Transfer Office, LMITCO, P. O. Box 1625, Idaho Falls, ID 83415-3805.
