(2) vehicles (HAZMAT) to store and transport emergency response
equipment in support of the first responder training conducted at the
Nevada Test Site (NTS). The requirement is for large chassis trucks
with compartmented containers configured for the storage of emergency
equipment. including command centers. These trucks will be driven by
students in response to simulated incidents. The specific requirements
are as follows: Diesel Engine; Automatic Transmission; Air Brakes;
Emergency light bar on top of cab; Siren; Front and rear lights; In
serviceable (running) condition; Painted lime green. The Compartmented
container on back needs to support the many pieces of emergency
responder equipment currently on hand. The specific requirements are as
follows: Minimum of eight (8) bays (compartments); Command center for
four (4) people with a window on each side; All compartments require
lights; One (1) shelf per compartment; Four (4) roll out trays with 500
pound capacity; 5000 watt generator, wired to chassis 12VDC electrical
system; Two (2) 500 watt bottom rise quartz lights ; Two scene lights
on each side; Air conditioning for command center; 18 foot canopy on
drivers side of container. In addition to these two (2) HAZMAT vehicles
the project requires a pumper type fire truck. The specific
requirements for this vehicle are as follows: NFPA standard, 1250 GPM
pump capable pumper truck; Diesel engine; Automatic transmission;
Minimum of a 500 gallon booster tank; One to four (1-4) ladders
fastened to truck; Gas generator; Minimum of two (2) 500 watt flood
lights; Minimum of two (2) booster hose reels; 5" front suction
capability; Minimum of two (2) 1 " crosslays; Appropriate Siren and
emergency lights; Operational condition. Students will drive this fire
truck to the simulated incident. The primary purpose for purchasing
these vehicles is to allow students to use them as they would at their
home station in response to training scenarios. The purchase of used
(re-conditioned) may meet the needs of the project. Used
(re-conditioned) equipment may be considered if warrantied as like new.
This solicitation will be on a line item or lot basis. Bechtel Nevada
reserves the right to purchase each vehicle separately or all three
from the same source. Prospective vendors who can only submit an offer
