The Facility Management System (FMS) currently being used in building 1575 is a Tracer Access System (TAS) by the Trane Company. The TAS is not Y2K. In order to maintain control and monitoring of the mechanical systems after 31 December 1999, the system must be upgraded to the Tracer Summit System (TSS). The Trane Company is the only manufacturer capable of providing software upgrades and equipment enhancements to the system, due to the proprietary software and communication protocols used and shared by the existing Mico electronic panels that link directly to the Trane Centrifugal chillers and air handling units.
