McDainel, Contracting Officer, (505)846-8799 The proposed contract action is for service to upgrade 13 each Government owned prototype AN/PDR-77 RADIAC Instruments, serial numbers: FQTE-034, FOTE-028, PQT-024, PQT-005, FOTE-007, FOTE-031, FOTE-029, FOTE-032, FOTE-027, FOTE-035, PQT-006, FOTE-030, and FOTE-026. FOB Destination to Kirtland AFB, NM within 30 days of award. The Government intends to solicit one source, Nuclear Research Corporation, Dover Division, 58 Richboynton Road, Dover New Jersey 07801, under the authority of FAR 6.302. Nuclear Research Corporation is the sole manufacturer of the sets and the only known source who can service the sets and provide assurance of compatibility. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Interested firms have 15 days from the publication of this synopsis to identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a quote. This notice of intent IS NOT a request for quotes. However, all quotes received within 15 days, after date of publication of this synopsis, will be considered by the Government. Qualifications and capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 15 days or without the required information will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
