The U.S. Army TACOM/Product Manager for Petroleum and Water Systems is requesting information pertaining to a commercially available 3,000 gph Tactical Water Purification System. The product is intended to provide quality water support to U.S. troops in peacetime and war to civilian agencies or host nations for emergencies, disaster relief, humanitarian efforts, or peacekeeping missions. The Tactical Water Purification System (TWPS) will consist of a trailer-mounted water purification unit, the generator set(s), if needed, used as a power source, Basic Issue Items (BII) to include 3000 gallon product water storage tanks, and an external add-on kit if used. Companies producing a Tactical Water Purification System that meets the needs described above should fill out a Word document questionnaire on the TACOM Internet site.
