Z -- EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL SOL DADW35-99-B-0009 DUE 102899 POC Contract Specialist, phone 703-806-4435 The U.S. Army Military District of Washington Acquisition Center, Fort Belvoir, Virginia intends to issue a Solicitation for a Contractor to provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision for Erosion and Sedimentation Control at Fort A. P. Hill, Bowling Green, Virginia. This project will be Firm Fixed Price -- Requirements type with Performance Period for Base Year and Three (3) Option Years,(365 days each year). Work consists of but not limited to the use of light to medium tractors, agricultural implements, earth moving blades, landscape rakes and hand tools as required to restore aareas which have been disturbed through construction, training maneuvers or othersources. Operations required may include, light grubbing, surface roughening, grading, shaping, spreading of aggregate or bulk materials. The work will result in restoration of original contours and/or adjustment of contours to provide greater stability and effectiveness of seeding. Topsoil will be supplied by the contractor. Placement of Cable Concrete mats shall be performed according to manufacturer specifications. There will be seeding, soil conditioning and mulching. Supply and placement of Riprap and/or other course agregates. Erosion Control matting includes shaping, fine grading, restoration of original contours and the installation of erosion control mesh/fabric for immediate stablization of highly erodible slopes, swells and ditches. There will be placement of sod and erection of silt fences; installation of culverts and associated concrete footers and anti-seep collars. Preparation and execution of the Unexploded Ordanance Safety Plan. The magnitude is estimated between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The approximate release date is 15 September 1999.
