Challenge" Wednesday, September 8, 1999 The DeCA Richmond Regional
Technology Fair "Turning Data Into Knowledge -- The New Millennium
Challenge" will take place on Wednesday, September 8, 1999 from 8:00
a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Conference and Exposition, will be held at the
Officers' and Civilians' Club, Building #990 Mahone Street, located at
Fort Lee, VA. This event is hosted by the Defense Commissary
Agency/Acquisition Management Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization,
and co-hosted by the Defense Supply Center Richmond, and the Department
of Defense Education Activity Supplies Procurement Office. The keynote
speakers on the agenda include Mr. Robert Neal, DoD Director, Small &
Disadvantaged Business Utilization Program, speaking on "The New
Procurement Environment and What it Means to the Small Business
Program", and Mr. Michael P. McHale, Acting Assistant Administrator for
HubZone Program, SBA, speaking on "The HubZone Empowerment Contracting
Program". Remarks will be made by Mr. Crosby Johnson, Executive
Director for Support, DeCA, Ms. Laura Harrell, Director Small &
Disadvantaged Business Utilization Program, DeCA, and Ms. Rosita
Parkes, Director, Information Resources Management, DeCA. One-On-One
Government Counseling tables will be set-up to provide the community
with valuable information on the latest procurement opportunities
available within their areas. Invited agencies include all DeCA HQ
personnel, Combined Arms Support Command, Army Logistics Management
College, U.S. Army Garrison Fort Lee, U.S. Army Quartermaster Center &
School, Project Manager GCSS-Army, 23rd Quartermaster Brigade,
Quartermaster Noncommissioned Officers' Academy, Readiness Group Lee,
Army Procurement Research & Analysis Office, Defense Finance &
