Administration (HRSA) intends to negotiate on a SOLE-SOURCE basis with
the Association of SIDS and Infant Mortality Programs, Minnesota
Sudden Infant Death Center, Children's Hospitals and Clinics, 2525
Chicago Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55404 to prepare for a
pre-conference meeting to be held prior to the Association of SIDS and
Infant Mortality Programs' National Conference scheduled for March
2000 in California. The pre-conference will address what is meant by
expanding State/Local SIDS programs to include "other infant deaths."
In preparation for this pre-conference meeting the contractor shall
take the lead in the selection of a planning committee, facilitate the
planning committee's meetings via conference calls, and produce a
background report on their findings/recommendations. Travel and
accommodations shall be made for approximately 25 participants of the
pre-conference. The contractor shall lead and facilitate the
pre-conference meeting and prepare a report which includes an executive
summary. The period of performance is one year. This announcement is
for information only. A Justification for Other Than Full and Open
Competition is on file. The award shall be made using simplified
