Musgrove, Contracting Officer, (301)295-6755 The National Naval Medical Center has a requirement for the Viral Testing/Blood Bank Division, Laboratory Medicine Department. NNMC intends to award a sole sourced standing order to Blackhawk Biosystems, Inc. San Ramon, CA for reagents. Blackhawk Biosystems, Inc. manufactures the only independent controls for use with retrovirus and hepatitis viral markers being an external control in blood donor screening and diagnostic testing. The following items will be procured: CLIN 0001: Eight (8)kits 00102 Virotrol, two (2)kits delivered quarterly; CLIN 0002: Twelve (12)kits 00107 Viroclear, three (3)kits delivered quarterly. Award will be made in the form of a purchase order for a base year period of one (1) year effective 1 October 1999 through 30 September 2000 with three (3)year options. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of theGovernment.
