NASA GSFC/WFF plans to issue a Request for Offers for Rehabilitation of Building F-7(Phase 1A) at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, Virginia 23337. The scope of work for this project shall include, but is not limited to: The demolition of approximately 20 feet of the existing building on the wend end. Work also includes the erection of a 30-foot x 60-foot pre-engineered metal building with two 20-foot x 30-foot high roll up doors and associated concrete work. Project also includes a small amount of electrical and mechanical work. The cranes described in the drawings are not included in the contract; however, the loading of the described cranes shall be incorporated in the design for future installation. The work shall be complete. It includes furnishing, as applicable, or may be required, all contractor's plant, equipment, safety devices, labor, tools, materials, supplies, and services, and performing all operations necessary for or incidental to a complete project in conformity with the drawings and as set forth in the various sections of the specifications. This procurement is being conducted under NASA MidRange Procurement Procedures. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 and the effort shall be completed within 180 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for the procurement is 1542. The corresponding size standard is $17,000,000.00. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about September 7, 1999, with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about October 7, 1999. The firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFO. Bid packages containing specifications and drawings will be available at a nonrefundable cost of $50.00.
