Furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision to complete Project No. 98-110, Roof Replacement Building 2 Phase I, at the VA North Texas Health Care System, 4500 S. Lancaster Road, Dallas, TX, 75216, in accordance with project plans and specifications. Work includes removal of existing roof system including asbestos containing roofing materials, installation of new roof system and flashings, two layers of insulation, modifications as required to install roof system, ladders, installation of landings, platforms and walkways on Roof Areas 1, 4, 5, staging, scaffolding to Roof Area 5, crane, debris disposal, partial removal of landings, walkways and platforms on Roof Area 5 to just past Roof Area 9, landscaping repairs at Staging Areas A1 and B, and other work as stipulated on Roof Areas 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, and 10. Cost range for Phase I of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Phase I work will be completed within 126 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Award is subjectto the availability of funds, and solicitation includes deduct alternates. Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 1761, Construction Special Trade Contractors -Roofing, Siding and Sheet Metal Work, applies to this acquisition and has a small business size standard of $7 million. However, in accordance with PL. 100-656, this acquisition is unrestricted as to business size. Bid packages will be available on 8/31/99. Bidding materials may be obtained by mailing a written application to K & M Reproduction, who will reproduce and issue bid packages to requesting parties. The application must include the requesting company name, a contact person, address, and telephone and fax numbers, as well as the Solicitation Number -- IFB 549-85-99, Project Title -- Replace Roof Building 2 Phase I, and owner name -VA North Texas Health Care Center. A non-refundable fee of approximately $30 will be charged for the cost of reproduction and assembly, and must be included with the request for bid package. The exact fee is not yet known, but will be published as a modification to this procurement notice. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, or check made payable to K & M Reproduction.
