Request for Quotes for 2-wheel type offset disk harrow to be delivered to the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site (SRS) near Aiken, SC. Disk shall be ready for operation when delivered. This is a combined notice and solicitation. No other paperwork will follow this notice. A TAW-16 disk harrow or equal with 30" x 1/2" thickness with a Ingersol 1085 disk blade is preferred. The salient characteristics are as follows: Medium duty rated for 90-120 horsepower tractor, net weight 5800 to 6500 lbs. Disks shall be 30" x 1/2", Notched Deep Concavity Disks with spacing 9" to 12" apart. Disk shall have one blade scraper per disk and be standard size. All bolts, nuts and washers to be grade 8 or larger grade. Each gang must have tapered roller bearings. All bearings and hinge points shall be fitted with standard grease fittings. Disk shall have a heavy duty draw bar that is self leveling for all types of topography with a clevis and plunger. The hydraulic system shall have the capability to raise and lower disk for transport and operation. Hydraulic hoses will extend beyond the draw bar 4 feet and shall be tied down and protected where possible. All tires shall be of proper size to support the disk harrow in any operation with a minimum of eight ply tread. The equipment shall be assembled and serviced prior to delivery. The successful contractor shall provide the Government with the standard warranty for this equipment.
