THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTIUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED.*****This solicitation, #53SBNB967095, is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and simplified method of acquisition will be used for this procurement. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. The associated Standards Industrial Classification Code (SIC) for this procurement is 3559, and the small business size is 500 Employees.*****The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a Precision Dicing System-Kulicke & Soffa brand name or equal. The precision dicing system shall meet the following requirements: (1) Part #00984-0006-000, Model 984-6 -- Base Unit (one each): (a) 6"X6" cutting range, (b) close cut chamber, (c) auto height feature, (d) GPC software, (e) 320 program CMOS memory, (f) CCTV on-line inspection system, (g) 125X high definition optics, (h) 9" monitor, (i) CCD camera, (j) air gun, (k) water gun, (l) cutting water sensor, (m) one set of manuals; operation, maintenance and schematic drawings, (n) 90-days warranty on parts and labor . (2) Part #00780-0631-000, 6" Porous Chuck (one each ), (3) Part #00780-0978-000, Annular Fiber Optic Illumination (one each), and (4) Part #00980-0911-000, Small Wafer Separator(one each). Specifications: (1) for cutting axis (x)-DC Servo, lead screw, air bearing drive, 11.3" travel, speeds between 0.0001 inch/sec and 15.6 inches/sec, resolution of 0.00015 inches, (2) Index axis (y)-micro stepper, lead screw, air bearing drive, 6.3 inch travel, 0.000032 inch resolution, (3) vertical axis (z) -micro stepper, lead screw drive, 1" travel, 0.000032 inch resolution, (4) Rotary axis (theta)-micro stepper drive, 90 degree in 2.5 sec speed, 0 to 170 degree rotation range, 4 arc seconds resolution, (5) 4" spindle-air bearing, water cooled, min to max speeds 4,000-30,000 rpm, max output power 1,700 watts. System shall be able to handle up to six inch diameter wafers, System shall be less than 1 year old. Parts and technical support by manufacture shall be available for at least 7 years.****Delivery is required within 45 days After Receipt of Order (ARO). Technical evaluation criteria, when combined, are significantly more important than price.*****The Government anticipates awarding a purchase order resulting from this combined synopsis/solicitation to the responsible offeror who quotation, conforming to this synopsis/solicitation, will offer the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered.
