sysnopsis/solicitation, M00027-99-Q-0007, for commercial items prepared
in accordance with the format in FAR, Subpart 12.6, as supplemented
with additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; request for quotes are requested
and a written solicitation will not be issued and this notice is issued
as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This document and incorporated
provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 97-11. The U.S. Marine Corps has a requirement for a block of
65 executive hotel rooms and conference room spaces to support the
members attending the General Officer Symposium scheduled to be held
9-27-99 through 10-2-99. The hotel and the hotel rooms must meet the
following criteria: The entrance must provide ease of unloading and
loading passengers and luggage, all entries/exits must be security
monitored, the travel time to the Pentagon must not exceed 5 minutes
(with multiple routes), and there must be food and beverages available
on-site. The all day conference spaces must be available as follows:
On 9-28-99, one room for 200 people (classroom style), on 9-29-99 and
9-30-99, two rooms for 50 people each (banquet style), and seven rooms
for 15 people each (conference style), on 10-1-99 and 10-2-99, one
room for 200 people (classroom style). In addition, the above
requirements must be contained within the same facility. The following
FAR provisions apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to
Offerors -- Commercial Items, plus any subsequent addenda. 52.212-2,
Evaluation -- Commercial Items. Award will be made to the responsible
offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is found to be
most advantageoous to the Government, price and other factors
considered (Past Performance). 522.212-3, Offeror Representations and
Certifications -- Commercial Items. Offerors must include a completed
copy of this provision with their quote. 52.212-4, Contract Terms and
Conditions -- Commercial Items, plus any subsequent addenda. 52.212-5,
Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or
Executive Orders -- Commercial Items. The following sub-paragraphs
under paragraph (b) are hereby checked: (11),(12),(13),(14),(22), and
(23) and under (c): (1), regarding which, if any additional FAR clauses
cited in the clause are applicable to this acquisition. Vendors must
have a Valid Trading Partner registration in the Central Contractor
Registration System. Furnish DUNS number, Taxpayer ID number (TIN), and
CAGE code with quote. Telephoneic responses will not be considered.
Written responses should be forwarded to Mr. Lee Robinson,
