The Coast Guard Maintenance & Logistics Command Atlantic, (MLCA) proposes to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 13.501 with the YMCA of Norfolk, VA to obtain Coast Guard Access to the athletic facility. The minimum facilities required are swimming pool, weight room, weight machines, aerobic training, raquetball courts, lockers, shower rooms, sauna rooms, and steam rooms. The facilities are required for 233 members annually with options to add an additional 20 members. The contract will be issued for a base plus 4 option years pursuant to FAR 52.217-9 under FAR Parts 12 and 13. Facilites shall be accessible within a 15 minute walking radius (or combination of walking and utilizing free access to the Norfolk Electric Transit) of the Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic at 300 East Main Street, Norfolk.
