71 -- SYSTEMS FURNITURE, AMENDMENT SOL DP2/0219Z/99 DUE 081699 POC Jennifer LaGrange, Contr. Spec., VACA, 202-231-8462 This is an amendment to CBD Announcement No. 358569, dated 7/23/99. The Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), intends to solicit and award an Indefinite-Delivery Requirements contract (1 base year plus 4 option years)on a sole source basis to the American Seating Company (AMSECO) for systems furniture manufactured by AMSECO. Systems furniture capabilities will be evaluated in terms of availability, connectivity with the existing inventory of AMSECO furniture, interoperability with the AMSECO inventory, and general suitability in terms of colors, style, etc. vis-a-vis the AMSECO product in place (specific information on each area was provided in the previous announcement). Qualifications/capabilities data are being solicited to give interested offerors a chance to prove that their products meet the Government's requirements and thus merit consideration in a competitive procurement process. If no offeror is able to provide data that their product meets the requirements, the Government will award the contract to the American Seating Company. This announcement may serve as the only notice in the event of a procurement. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a full and open competition basis. Responses received without the requested information may be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. If no affirmative responses are received before the deadline, a contract will be awarded to American Seating Company (AMSECO). All responses should refer to PR DP2/0219Z/99.
