Subject to final approval, the Bureau of the Public Debt intends to acquire, on a sole-source basis through Lucent Technologies services to maintain telephone lines and equipment to the Bureau of Public Debt at 999 E Street NW, Washington, DC. These requirements include services for installation, removal, changes, and rearrangement of cabling and telephone lines, and testing for level 5 cabling. A request for documentation will not be considered an affirmative response. If no affirmative written response is received, within fifteen calendar days after publication of this notice, to the effect that a comparable service is available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining this service through sole-source contract, a sole-source award will be made.
