SIC CODE -- 1542 The General Services Administration (GSA) is in the
process of requesting Technical Proposals (RTP) for the facility
construction package for a new United States District Courthouse annex
located at 901 19th Street, Denver, Colorado. GSA is soliciting
contractors to participate in the "Two-Step Sealed Bidding" process for
this project. Step One requires the offeror and major subcontractors
(Stone, Masonry, Mechanical and Architectural Woodwork) to submit a
technical proposal, without pricing. Each Offeror must be a general
contractor, and each offeror may submit up to three (3) major
subcontractors for each category. The following is a brief description
of the construction. This project has been designed in metric and all
contract documents are in metric. This project consists of all labor,
equipment, material, transportation, and supervision necessary to
construct the new United States District Courthouse annex including
site improvements and minor renovation to the existing Byron Rogers
U.S. District Courthouse totaling approximately 35,300 gross square
meters. The new annex facility is eleven stories and will contain
twelve district courtrooms, four magistrate courtrooms and one Special
Proceedings courtroom, in addition to associated Judges' chambers,
Clerk of Court support space and U.S. Marshals Service space. The
facility also consists of approximately 54 underground parking spaces
with an additional 70 surface parking spaces. This project contains
large quantities of interior woodwork, and the exterior will be clad
with stone and brick. Warranties/guarantees, finishes and related
management requirements will be included. Construction cost for this
project is estimated to be in the range of $70,000,000 to $80,000,000.
The design was prepared by the architectural firms of Anderson Mason
Dale Architects of Denver, Colorado and HOK of Saint Louis, Missouri.

for proposal unless followed by a written amendment. The deadline for
submission of technical proposals is 1:00 p.m. local time September 21,
