S -- SATELLITE MASTER ANTENNA TELEVISION (SMATV) HEADEND SYSTEM NETWORK SOL RFP 501-28-99 DUE 091099 POC Rita A. Jiron, Contracting Officer, (505) 256-5483 The Contractor shall provide SMATV Headend System Network to the New Mexico VA Health Care System, Albuquerque, New Mexico in accordance with the following: 1. The contractor may use existing VA-owned equipment consisting of 1-RCA DSS 18" dish; 8-RCA DSS Receivers, Model DRD303RA; 8-Holland Agile Modulators, Model HMA 500, and existing cable infrastructure. 2. Programming subscription services package shall consist of: CNN; CNN HEADLINE NEWS; ESPN; ESPN2; ESPNEWS; TNT; TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES; CARTOON NETWORK, WEATHER CHANNEL, HISTORY CHANNEL, DISCOVERY CHANNEL, AND COMEDY CENTRAL, delivered to 240 rooms/locations. 3. Provide all peripheral equipment necessary to provide optimum reception. At a minimum, contractor shall provide 4-DSS receivers and 4-Agile Modulators to accommodate the programming package listed above, at no additional cost. 4. Provide service and maintenance to all contractor-owned equipment required under the terms of this contract, at no additional cost. Contractor shall also provide spare receivers and modulators to minimize channel downtime, at no additional cost. 5. Offerors are urged and expected to survey the site to determine the equipment requirements for the performance of this contract.
