The Oregon Air National Guard -- Kingsley Field ANG Base, Klamath Falls, Oregon has a requirement for Surface Weather Observing Services. The period of proposed contract will be for 10/01/99 through 09/30/2000 with one option year. Performance is 7 days a week, including Holidays, from 6:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. (16 hours per day). This single year plus one option year contract, is an interim measure in anticipation of a national contract for this service at several air National Guard Bases throughout the United States. The Contractor will provide certified weather observers to monitor the weather conditions at the Klamath Falls Airport. Contractor will augment, backup and edit the ASOS observations as necessary to make the observations representative of the area immediately surrounding the airport. Weather observers will edit the ASOS observation when it is not representative or missing parameters. ASOS observations will be augmented for certain conditions. Performance shall be at the Air Traffic Control Tower furnished by the FAA. The government, either NWS or FAA will furnish observing Equipment. This is a simplified acquisition of a commercial service and will be awarded using procedures in part 12 and 13 of the FAR.
