hereby amended to incorporate the following changes/additions to the
original text: Period of Performance will be five (5) years (including
options) commencing 15 June 2000. A Cost Plus Fixed Fee Term type
contract is anticipated. The contractor is required to have a facility
located within one-hour travel time from the ATRC, Dahlgren, VA. The
security classification (facility and technical personnel) for the
resultant contract is SECRET. It is anticipated that the solicitation
will be posted on 1 October 1999. Please read the following
announcement, which is republished in its entirety, with changes
incorporated therein. The AEGIS Training and Readiness Center (ATRC)
Dahlgren, Virginia, requires System Engineering Services to include the
following: Combat System Engineering Support, Automated Information
Systems Support, Training Systems Support, Manpower and Personnel
Support, Curricula Instructional Standards and Library Publications
Support at the ATRC. The ATRCconsists of the Command Staff at the AEGIS
Education Center (AEC) located at Dahlgren, VA and all ATRC Detachments
(ATRCDs) worldwide. Primary support shall be provided to the Command
Staff residing in the AEGIS Education Center (AEC) located at Dahlgren,
Virginia. The AEC complex consists of USS Ticonderoga Hall (UTH), USS
Arleigh Burke Hall (UABH), associated support structures, and all
MILCON expansions. ATRC Detachment support shall include, but is not
limited to: Norfolk, VA; Wallops Island, VA; Mayport, FL; Philadelphia,
PA; and Pearl Harbor, HI; Yokosuka, JA; San Diego, CA; and CHET
Pascagoula, MS. Period of performance will be five (5) years (including
options) commencing 15 June 2000. A Cost Plus Fixed Fee Term type
contract is anticipated. It is estimated that the technical effort for
this contract will average 50 technical man-years per year. This
solicitation is a follow-on to Contract N00178-97-D-2008 awarded to
American Systems Engineering Corporation, 2829 Guardian Lane, Virginia
Beach, VA 23452. An Organizational Conflict of Interest Clause as
defined by FAR 9.505-1 will be included in the RFP and resultant
contract. The contractor is required to have a facility located within
one-hour travel time from the ATRC, Dahlgren, VA. The security
classification (facility and technical personnel) for the resultant
contract is SECRET. The SIC Code is 8711 and the FSC Code is U008.
Solicitations and amendments will only be available via the World Wide
Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/supply. No hard copies will be
provided. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted on 1
October 1999 and will close forty-five days following date of issuance.
Vendors should access the NSWCDD web site to ensure they have
downloaded all amendments. For solicitations issued after 31 May 1998,
DOD will no longer award contracts to Contractors that are not
registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database.
