Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has the requirement for Storeroom Supplies to be delivered on an as needed basis to the National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research (NCAUR), Peoria, IL for the period (anticipated) October 1, 1999 (or date of award) thru September 30, 2000 with four (4) one-year renewable option periods. Delivery of approximately 360 items to the NCAUR Storeroom on an as needed basis. Items include such things as Office Supplies and Scientific Supplies. An example of types of office supplies include inks, file folders, labels, printer cartridges, felt tipped pens, and highlighters. Types of Scientific Supplies include beakers, bottles, brushes, clamps, cylinders, petri-dishes, flasks, forceps, funnels, pipette tips, paper filters, pipettes, slides, stirring bars, tubes, rubber tubing, and vials. NCAUR Storeroom personnel will place orders each week for the ordered supplies in the grade, sizes, and quantities ordered to be delivered within seven (7) calendar days after receipt of the order. Payment will be made to the successful contractor on a monthly basis, in arrears, based on orders placed and supplies received during the preceding month. This solicitation will be issued as a Commercial Items Request for Proposal in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 15. This acquisition is solicited under Full and Open competition. Any responsible business may submit a proposal. The Standard Industrial Classification that applies is 5399 with the corresponding size of 500 employees. Solicitation No. 5114-9-3134 will be made available on or about August 18, 1999 with proposals to be received (anticipated) not later than 2:00 p.m. (CST) on September 8, 1999. Proposals will be evaluated based on price, past performance, and demonstration of having the technical ability to deliver the ordered supplies timely, and in the quantity and size ordered.
