Lynne Adams/Lfke/[801]777-6268 The Government intends to award a

F-16 Programmable Signal Processor (PSP). This effort will be a best

the AFMC supplement (AFMCFARS). Award will be made to the offeror who
is deemed responsible in accordance with the Federal Acquisition
Regulation (FAR), whose proposal conforms to the solicitation's
requirements and is judged to represent the best value to the
Government. Best Value means the expected outcome of an acquisition
that, in the Government's estimation, provides the greatest overall
benefit in response to the requirement. The proposed contract will be
Firm-fixed Price for a total of 1,545 Central Processor Units (CPUs).
Five of these will be subjected to first article testing. The CPUs will
be procured in four increments. An initial procurement of 136 units is
planned for the basic year and three additional option years of 468

manufacturing processes that will significantly lessen the R&M problems
currently being experienced. The new CPU must comply with the
performance and interface requirements identified in the
performance-based acquisition specification. This acquisition is a 100%
small business set aside (SIC code: 3679). Request all comments and
questions to be forwarded to the buyer Mary Lynne Adams at e-mail
address: Mary.Adams@hill.af.mil. The approximate issue date for the
draft solicitation will be 10 AUG 1999. !! Posted 08/05/99
