Warfare Center Division, Newport is soliciting proposals on an
"unrestricted" basis, from industry for the manufacture, production and
testing of an Integrated Visualization System (IVS) consisting of a
Color Frame Grabbing & Display System. The IVS is a family of VME
graphics controller cards and optional VME cards to provide video
insertion from a wide range of video standards and resolutions. All
hardware is to be supported via a X11R6 server software and extensions
to X11R6 for control of the video options. The IVS must meet the
following specifications: UNIX HP-UX Ver 10.20 compatible, 6U VMEbus,
Minimum 640 x 480 color and 1550 x 872 hi-definition resolution, true
double buffered video memory card, fast image downloading: minimum
40MB/sec, video frame capture, recording and playback, no degradation
in graphics performance from display controller or radar scan
converter, EMI Compliant (UL and FCC Class A), temperature tolerance:
0 degree -- 45 degree C (operating), humidity tolerance: 10% -- 90%
(noncondensing), overlay frame buffer, RS-170 or RS-343 RGB Input,
real-time video and graphics, 2 RGB video inputs, 1280x1024 @ 60 Hz; 72
Hz max, minimum 72 frames per second video, multiple video window
capability. Software provided for the HPUX 10.20 operating systems
shall utilize the HP 700 family CPUs. Additional performance
requirements shall be described in the solicitation. Required Quantity:
First Article Unit: 1 ea.; Basic Qty: 20 ea.; Option Qtys: 15 -- 31 ea.
Total Qty: 52 (including options). The solicitation number is
N66604-99-R-3674. Delivery shall be F.O.B. destination to NUWCDIVNPT,
Newport, RI. Required Delivery: Four (4) months after contract award.
