DESC: Project FGWB 99-0038, Repair Baffles at Firing Range, Dobbins ARB GA. Provide all plant, labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and supervision to complete the plans and specifications for the repair of baffles at the firing range, in Project FGWB 99-0038. Work includes, but is not limited to, replacement of existing small range overhead baffles used to prevent bullets from escaping the small arms range. There are approximately 242 baffles measuring 4 feet x 5 feet. These baffles are made of wood held together with epoxy glue, lag bolts and fiberglass. Baffles are bolted to existing backplates and filled with gravel. The period of performance is 90 calendar days to include material approval, acquisition, transportation and installation. The contract will be firm fixed price. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. SIC Code is 1751. Size standard is $7,000,000.00. The solicitation will be issued on or about 03 August 1999 with quotes due on or about 22 September 1999. This procurement is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible sources may request a solicitation package by written request. All requests shall include address (including street address), point of contact, telephone number, and solicitation number. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 22 August 1999 and will be provided to all interested responsible firms who respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of this notice. Requests for plans and specifications received after the 15th day will be honored only until supplies are exhausted. Faxed requests will not be permitted. NO AWARD WILL BE MADE UNTIL FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO MAKE PAYMENTS UNDER A CONTRACT.
