The National Park Service, Southeast Utah Group (SEUG), Moab UT 84532, intends to issue a Solicitation for Modification of the Owachomo Bridge Overlook and Sidewalk at Natural Bridges National Monument. Currently the overlook does not meet ADA standards for maximum slope of walks and ramps. The project will modify existing concrete walks to meet ADA standards and barrier free design. Project will include replacement of approximately 100 lineal feet of concrete sidewalk, raising the existing 500 square foot concrete platform height approx. 2 feet by installation of native stone perimiter walls and casting a new concrete platform. Natural Bridges National Monument is located at an elevation of 6500 feet in rural Southeast Utah. Blanding UT is the closest town and is approximately 40 miles from the Monument. Due to the elevation and temperature sensitive nature of the masonry/concrete work, Construction is not scheduled to start until 1 March 2000. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $75,000.
