EVALUATION OF OXYGEN ENRICHED COMBUSTION TECHNOLOGY FOR ENHANCED CO2 RECOVERY SUBJECT: Evaluation of Oxygen Enriched Combustion Technology for Enhanced CO2 Recovery. DESC: The U.S. Department of Energy's Federal Energy Technology Center (FETC), Pittsburgh, PA intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to McDermott Technology Incorporated, Alliance OH to (1) Support to Integrate Air Pollution Control Measures; (2) Support of Process Optimization; and (3) Critical Needs Assessment and Path Forward. This purchase order is being issued to McDermott Technology Incorporated because they are the sole manufacturer of the commercially proven Teflon coated CHX technology. McDermott Technology Inc. has a long history in the development of fuel efficient utility boiler and emission control systems, commercialization of the CHX technology, and experience with oxygen-enriched, closed cycle combustion makes them uniquely qualified to perform the work. This request is considered to be sole source to McDermott Technology Inc.. Therefore, no solicitation will result from this announcement.
