D -- AUTOMATIC DATA PROCESSING AND TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES SOL DCA100-99-T-4030 DUE 081999 POC Nancy Dydak, Contracting Officer (703) 607-6909 The Defense Information Systems Agency intends to acquire a CNN Rebroadcast License from Turner Broadcasting System, for rebroadcasting of CNN Headline News, CNN Domestic and CNN International by the Joint Broadcast Service.(JBS) in support of DISA's Bosnia Command and Control Augmentation (BC2A) initiative. There are currently no alternative government or commercial broadcast or cable television services which provide continuous national and international news, events, and analysis of a scope, timeliness and content comparable to the CNN channels. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a proposal is being requested from Turner Broadcasting System and a written solicitation will not be isssued. Request for Quotation DCA100-99-T-4030 applies to this action. The RFQ and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. A Purchase Description for the authority to rebroadast CNN news services to land-based receiving sites for the period 1 October 1999 through 30 September 2000 will be forwarded under separate cover. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial applies to this acquisition. The offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with its offer. The price proposal must be complete and accompanied by supporting materials, other than cost or pricing data, which substantiate the proposed price.
