SOURCES are SOUGHT to provide Research and Development (R&D) Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) for the AF Research Laboratory, Munitions Directorate, Advanced Guidance Division, Guidance Simulation Branch (AFRL/MNGG). Contract performance will include support in the areas of phenomenological modeling, advanced hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) digital simulation development, and HIL test planning, execution, and data analysis for the Ballistic Missile Defense Office (BMDO) and other sponsors. This effort requires an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of HIL simulation design, development, validation, and utilization to support test development of guided munition systems and subsystems. It is anticipated that much of the work will be performed in the Kinetic Kill Vehicle HIL Simulator (KHILS) facility in building 13 at Eglin AFB, FL and the remainder in the contractor_s facility. Anticipated period of performance is 5 years (one base year with four 1-year options), and we are considering multiple awards_one for phenomenological modeling, and one for the remaining effort.
