The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex proposes to contract for Lodging for Norfolk Naval Shipyard personnel working at the Groton Submarine Base in Groton, CT. An indefinite delivery/requirements type contract for a base year with four (4) one (1) year options is anticipated. The location of the lodging facility to the Groton Submarine Base shall not exceed five (5) miles. The mileage is based on using the main vehicular routes traveled one way to the facility's main entrance. The minimum size of each room is 300 square feet. Services are for the period 01 October 1999 through 30 September 2000 for the base year with four (4) one (1) year options. NOTE: Offerors proposing as a broker for hotel/motel lodging shall submit with their quotation, a copy of the written agreement authorizing the prime/sub contracting arrangement with the hotel/motel for services. This requirement is being handled utilizing "Simplified Acquisition Procedures" as set forth in FAR Part 13 and authorized in FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Products. Response date for submission of quotations will be established in the solicitation. Requests for the solicitation package will be accepted via mail and e-mail only.
