Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole
source purchase order to North Carolina State University (Dr. Noga),
pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) -- Only one responsible source and no
other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This
procurement is for a collaborative contract to provide purified
Pfisteria toxin for study of irritancy and hypersensitivity in murine
skin. Dinoflagellate Pfisteria Piscicida will be grown in live seawater
cultures. At peak of toxicity, cultures will be passed over hydrophobic
c18 resin to isolate toxin. Resin will stored by NCSU until transfer to
NIEHS. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written
narrative statement of capability to Dee Lunney at the above address
for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed
technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the
ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include
itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that
competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received an
order will be placed with North Carolina State University. The SIC
