This procurement is for a collaborative contract to provide purified Pfisteria toxin for study of irritancy and hypersensitivity in murine skin. Dinoflagellate Pfisteria Piscicida will be grown in live seawater cultures. At peak of toxicity, cultures will be passed over hydrophobic c18 resin to isolate toxin. Resin will stored by NCSU until transfer to NIEHS.
