The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, intends to award a sole source contract to Omegadyne for the repair of four to seven DDPTs in accordance with Electric Boat Specifications 3000, 3014 and 3020. Omegadyne is the only company who has the authorized design to be used on the SSN 688 class VLS submarine. This design is proprietary to the manufacturer. Upon receipt of the units, contractor will inspect and test for damage and failures. The results of this testing shall be provided in accordance with CDRL A001. The Contractor shall not commence repair work until the government responds. The government will provide the DDPTs to the contractor no later than 30 calendar days following award of the contract. Inspection and acceptance of the DDPTs shall be performed at destination, Newport, RI. The work shall be performed at the Contractor's facility. Work shall be completed on or about 30 Sep 99.
