Additional information is provided for the Industry Day/ Pre-Solicitation Conference to be held at the Naval Air Warfare Center/Weapons Division, (NAWC/WD), China Lake, California at the Michelson Lab, Conference Rooms B/C on 24 August 1999 beginning at 8:00 A.M. P.D.S.T. A Government representative will present an overall briefing of the Sidewinder Missile Program followed by a period for addressing each of the six- (6) components to be procured. The components are as follows: MK1 MOD2 Wing Assembly, BSU-32/B Fin Assembly, WDU-17/B Warhead Assembly, MK36 MOD11 Rocket Motor, MK13 MOD2 Safe Arm Device, and the DSU-15B/B Target Detector. It is the Government's intention to award a separate and distinct firm fixed price contract for each of the components with their respective containers. The Government requires that you provide "Notification of your Intention" to attend the Industry Day/Pre-Solicitation Conference and make the necessary arrangements for the required security clearances by 16 August 1999.Coordination shall be with Ms. Carolyn Smith (commercial (760) 939-8488) at NAWC/WD China Lake, CA.
