Binford, Contract Specialist, SMDC-CM-CN, (256)955-4027 The U.S. Army
Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC), Simulation Directorate,
Computer Resources Division, intends to enter into a noncompetitive
contract to continue on-going work of the Warfighter Analysis and
Integration Center (WAIC) Simulation Engineering and Modeling Research
and Development. This effort will continue the support of simulation,
engineering, modeling, tasks, and integration services. The effort
requires specific expertise in simulation, research, and analysis
spanning a diverse number of technologies and applications related to
space and missile defense. These technologies include, but are not
limited to, the following: laser technologies and applications
including LIDAR and weapons- class lasers, advanced sensor technologies
for space-based and tactical reconnaissance, advanced technologies to
support information superiority, simulation development using high
level architecture (HLA), scenario generation, simulation development
and utilization to support command and control (C2) and focused
battlefield intelligence, including the application of artificial
intelligence, instrumentation and sensor suites for unmanned aerial
vehicles and aerostats, evaluation of air and missile defense
architectures, analysis of mine countermeasures, analysis of antenna
design, and analysis of infrared and other spectral countermeasures.
TOP SECRET clearance will be required. Under the authority of Federal
Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2) (iii), this action is
directed toward Science Applications International Corporation. This
notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however,
responses received from interested sources will be considered by the
government. This acquisition is not open to Allied participation. All
responses should be directed to SMDC-CM-CN/Victoria R. Binford and must
be received within fifteen (15) days from the date of this notice. No
telephone inquiries will be accepted. A determination by the government
not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this
notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Posted
