Charnholm, Chief, Acquisition & Contracting Officer The Atlanta VA Medical Center intends to acquire a Blood Analyzer such as ABS2000 automated blood bank system or equal with bar code print program, back-up work station, uninterruptable power supply, host interface, with one service manual and two operator instruction manuals. The analyzer should be fully automated and has the technology to perform patient ABO/Rh antibody screen, cross match and donor confirmation with just three simple steps. 1. Load the sampels, 2. Select the assay, 3. Walk away. The blood analyzer must be able to have data management capabilities that automatically records operator ID, test status, results and reagents used including lot numbers, expiration dates and date of last QC and able to monitors workload status. User friendly, simple, windows-driven interface, and RS232 port allows connectivity with host computers. Installation of the instrument will be at the expense of the contractor and performed by their technical support epreentative. Included in the price is training for two (2) technologists to include transportation, room and board and all materials required for the training. One year warranty includes parts, labor, and all incidental cost to place the instrument in a good working condition. Response time for repair will be no later than 24 hours, 7 days a week. Contractor will provide future software upgrades at no charge to the Government. Delivery date shall be four to six (4 to 6 )weeks from the date of acceptance. The agency intends to award 15 days from receipt of quotes subject on availability of funds. This is a commercial type of procurement under the FAR Part 12 SIC and size: 5047 and $100 million. The Government intends to negotiate with Immucor. However, all qualified and responsible sources may submit descriptive literature which full demonstrate their products and meets the brand name specification which shall be considered by the agency.
