Z -- TENANT IMPROVEMENT WORK SOL RFQ-FA-990010 POC Linda Wong (415) 561-5352 The Presidio Trust is soliciting Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from construction firms to perform Tenant Improvement work at Buildings No. 36 and 220 located in the Presidio of San Francisco, San Francisco, CA. Both buildings are classified as historic buildings and the objective is to renovate them into multi tenant office buildings while preserving and utilizing the existing historic fabric of the buildings. Scope of work for building 36, approx. 8,000 square feet, will house approx. 5 to 6 tenants ranging in size from 500 square feet to 1,700 square feet with a shared conference facility; tenant spaces will be built out concurrently; additional work may include, but is not limited to, structural and seismic upgrades, all new building systems, elevator installation, stair construction and exterior painting. Scope of work for building 220, approx. 23,000 square feet, will house 4 to 5 tenants ranging in size from 600 square feet to 10,000 square feet; a major portion of the core and shell were renovated in 1996; additional work may include, but is not limited to, building systems distribution, alterations to existing exterior porches, waterproofing, installation of finishes to existing elevator, ADA modifications and build-out of multi tenant office space. Through this Request for Qualification (RFQ) process, the Presidio Trust will pre-qualify one or more construction firms having demonstrated and successful performance history in tenant improvement work. Statements of Qualifications will be evaluated based upon the criteria set forth in the RFQ, including, but not limited to, past performance on projects of similar size and scope, specialized experience (tenant improvement, structural & seismic, historical, green building and sustainable materials), ability to "fast track" construction schedule, familiarity with rehabilitation tax credit construction projects and cost (providing breakdown of general conditions and fees). Specify RFQ-FA-990010. RFQ available o/a August 11, 1999, closing date as stated in the RFQ. Site visit is scheduled for 1:00PM, August 18, 1999, meeting directly at building no. 220 located at Halleck St./Lincoln Blvd. The Presidio Trust strongly encourages prime contractors to utilize small businesses, HUBZone SBCs, SDBs, and women-owned small businesses to the fullest extent consistent with efficient contract performance.
