to negotiate on a sole source basis with OAG Worldwide, 2000 Clearwater
Drive, Oak Brook, Illinois, for the acquisition of continued
maintenance and support services for existing Official AirLine Guide
(OAG) travel information system proprietary software products. The
required software maintenance and support services include, but are not
limited to: (1) new releases, updates, documentation and corrections of
OAG travel information system software products; (2) nationwide
technical support; and (3) training. The negotiations will provide for
sixty (60) months of software maintenance and support services, which
includes 1 base year plus 4 option years. The statutory authority for
negotiating on a sole source basis is 41 USC 253(c)(1), only one
responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy
agency requirements. OAG Worlwide is the only available source for the
required maintenance and support services, as well as the only
available one-stop source for the necessary proprietary software
upgrades. OAG Worldwide is the only source that offers various
distribution methods of their travel information system software. These
distribution methods include the Extranet, Intranet, LAN, and CD-ROM.
Interested parties will have fifteen (15) days from the publication
date of this synopsis to submit their qualifications/capabilities
(i.e., technical specifications, brochures, and price lists) in the
critical areas mentioned above. Responses received without the
requested information may be considered nonresponsive to this synopsis.
Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this synopsis. A
determination by the Government not to open this requirement to
competition based upon written responses to this notice is solely
within the discretion of the Government. Responses shall be submitted
to the address shown above, to the attention of the Contracting
