Institutes of Health has a requirement to provide for the continued
operation of the Aging Cell Repository of human and animal cells which
serves as a resource to facilitate gerontological research by
providing high quality, uncontaminated, well-characterized, clinically
documented cell lines to investigators. Offerors must have expertise
in obtaining, establishing, growing, storing and distributing cell
culture lines; ability to characterize cell lines as to growth
requirements; and, the ability to distribute viable, uncontaminated
cultures to investigators worldwide. It is anticipated that a new cost
reimbursement contract will be awarded for a nine-year period of
performance. The RFP will be available on or about August 16, 1999 and
