(CGC) Cuttyhunk Homeport Relocation is located on the U. S. Coast Guard
Buoy Maintenance Facility at Tongue Point in Astoria, Oregon. The work
involves renovation of a single story, 2700 sq. ft. building and the
construction of a new floating pier, including piles and associated
pier utilities. The renovation of the building includes re-wiring the
electrical system, some relocation of interior partitions, some general
plumbing, HVAC work, as well as finishes. The new floating pier is to
be constructed of post tensioned concrete floats, held in place by
steel pipe guide piles. Pier utilities are being extended to the float.
A new galvanized steel brow extends from the existing fixed pier to the
new float located alongside. Due to environmental constraints, all in
water work (float and piles) must be completed between 01 November 1999
and 28 February 2000. Contract duration is 225 days. Estimated
construction range is $250,000 to $500, 000. Plans and specifications
for this project will be available approximately 20 days after date of
this announcement. This solicitation is issued under the Small
Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Offers will be accepted
from any responsible source. Plans and specifications will be available
approximately 20 days after issuance of this notice. There is a $20
NON-REFUNDABLE charge for each set of plans and specifications. You may
