Z -- BUILDING 410B EXTENSION SOL RAQ990019 DUE 091399 POC Kay Ryan, Contract Specialist The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) has a requirement to extend the Telecommunications Building #410B with a permanently attached, three sided, metal building package. The site is located on the NIFC complex in Boise, Ada County, Idaho. The extension measures 6 m x 18 m (20 x 60 ft). The concrete pad has already been poured; stemwalls, footings, and backfill are complete. The addition shall be attached to assure structural integrity of both the existing building and the extension. The extension shall be weatherproof and aesthetically compatible with the existing building. The extension shall have a pitched roof of 25 mm to 305 mm (1 in to 12 in). The Contractor shall: (a) demolish existing conduit, lights, gutters, and metal fabric siding, (b) install new poly-panel and plywood where the existing metal siding is removed, (c) drill and permanently attach anchor bolts and support templates to the existing concrete pad, (d) frame and roof the building, (e) install electrical conduit and wiring, (f) insulate interior walls, ceiling, and weather exposed walls, (g) install siding, access doors, and Government supplied gutters, and (g) paint unprotected surfaces. All work shall be completed within 45 calendar days. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside and SIC 1542, General Contractors -- Nonresidential Buildings, Other Than Industrial Buildings and Warehouses applies. The small business size standard is $17.0 million for the past three fiscal years. Simplified acquisition procedures will be used for award and Davis-Bacon labor rates apply. The estimated value of this requirement is less than $100,000. Only written offers will be accepted and it is anticipated award will be made by September 22, 1999.
